From the writer of Blue Crush, the producer of Ice Princess, and the director of nothing comes... Bumped, a modern day update of The Breakfast Club.
When asked for comment, John Hughes had this to say: "I wish I was dead so I could be rolling around in my grave right now."*
Bumped will feature the same exact storyline as The Breakfast Club, except set in an airport and with less interesting characters. Some of the one-note roles include, and I quote, "a corporate go-getter, a musician and a flirt."
The film will be the directorial debut of Anna Mastro, who has worked closely with McG on Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and also as an associate producer on Stay Alive. We can expect great things from her, I'm sure.
I don't think I'm alone when I say, this is the worst idea out of Hollywood since the remake for... er, the several dozen other classic films that had no reason to be remade.
*John Hughes didn't actually say that, but he totally should've.
