First Look Behind the Scenes of "Watchmen"!

The first of 12 making-of video blogs for Watchmen has hit the net, courtesy of Comingsoon.net & Superhero Hype. It mainly covers set design and the construction of the Watchmen world. Unfortunately, we don't see any of the superheroes in action, aside from a brief glimpse at The Comedian.

Those fearing that the film will end up green-screen heavy ala 300 should rest easy. While there will most definitely be a large amount of digital effects used to create the world, there are quite a few actual sets being constructed for this film. And from the looks of it, theyr'e painstakingly trying to recreate the comic's rich visual sense.

Director Zack Snyder also mentions that they hope to release one of these featurettes every month around the 6th. Something tells me that this gradual build-up of hype is going to be torture -- atleast until the film's release on March 6, 2009.
