Crank was a film that I've found most either completely love, or hate with a passion. Personally, I loved it, and I consider anyone who disagrees an outright fool. It's with that enthusiasm that I welcome any morsel of information from the sequel, Crank 2: High Voltage.
We now have word that Amy Smart is returning for her role as Chev Chelios's (Jason Statham) girlfriend, and upcoming Star Trek cast member Clifton Collins Jr. will play the villain. Bai Ling also joins the cast, and something tells me she'll play an exotic-yet-creepy femme fatale -- call it intuition.
The plot, as Variety describes it, seems just as ludicrously awesome as the original:
In “Crank 2” Chelios faces a mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.
I honestly can't wait to see what the Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor do with this setup. I only hope they can somehow top the psychedelic action romp that was the original.

Cranking Hot!
The plot is just great, channeling electricity as Chev's vital need for survival. adrenaline for jolting electricity. I'm excited to see what role Bai Ling will take, she's a pretty fierce actress. I bet this will definitely be one electrifying action flick!
