New Trailer/Posters for "Disaster Movie" Will Make You Lose Faith in Humanity... For the Fourth Time

There's something strangely compelling about the unrelenting awfulness being unleashed with this generation's take on the "spoof movie" genre, the highlights of which include Date Movie, Epic Movie, and Meet the Spartans, all three of which were written and directed by the genius duo known to the world as "those two fucking assholes who ruined legitimate parodies." They're also occasionally referred to by the names Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

Now comes their latest pop culture-laden spin on cinema, the aptly titled Disaster Movie. Here's the trailer.

Naturally, a movie this bad always warrants coversation. And with that said, here's a far too in-depth breakdown of everything that's so clearly wrong with this supposed lampooning of the "disaster movie" genre.

• 0:10 - Didn't the trailer for Scary Movie 4 already mimic its intro after War of the Worlds? Are these guys seriously just copying other spoof movies now?
• 0:21 - Hey, it's Iron Man. He's got a movie this summer. What a great reason to include the character, even though it's the wrong genre and they already released Superhero Movie earlier this year. Also, nice touch using a costume that was probably picked out of the bargain bin of a party supply store. All class, these guys.
• 0:26 - Ha ha! Iron Man got squished by a cow! Why a cow? Who the fuck cares!? It's a cow! And it squished Iron Man! Oh, my sides! And wow, look at those effects! Iron Man folded like a piece of paper! And the cow is apparently made out of plastic. Excellent work all around.
  
• 0:31 - Girls in bikinis for absolutely no reason! Yay!
• 0:34 - Kim Kardashian in a major acting role? All the planets are finally aligning, it seems.
• 0:36 - Hannah Montana crushed by a meteor. What a hilarious and totally relevant pop culture reference. And the actress looks nothing like Miley Cyrus. Another impressive feat.
• 0:45 - The Hulk loses his pants. LOL. Hooray for completely ignoring the genre you're supposed to be spoofing.
• 0:49 - ENCHANTED? OH FUCK YES. IT JUST CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.
• 0:51 - I stand corrected. Enchanted girl just got hit by a car.
• 0:54 - Hancock? Oh score, another superhero! And not even one with an established comic book background!
• 0:57 - ROFL. Hancock just bonked his head and fell down!
• 1:00 - Even Sex and the City? You sure you're not stretching it?
• 1:08 - Oh wait, I spoke too soon. There's Juno.
• 1:11 - Heh heh, what a clever subtle jab at Never Back Down. I was able to pick up on it because I'm super smart.
• 1:14 - OH SHIT! They totally just stole the entire unfunny "feet kicking" joke routine from You Don't Mess with the Zohan, which was already stolen from Austin Powers. But it's OK, because it's actually a spoof of the scene. 'Cause they made it grosser, see? Way to stick it to the man, guys!
• 1:25 - It's coming out August 29th? Sweet! They only spent a week making the movie so we'd have the privelege of seeing it as soon as possible. I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!

First Poster - The Simpsons Movie? Really? That's what you chose to reference? Aren't you about a year too late? Aren't you a few genres off? Isn't there supposed to be some sort of joke here?

Second Poster - Oh, look at that. Indiana Jones got hit with a meteor. Boy, I sure can't wait to see every other popular character in the last year get plummeted with falling objects. This movie's going to be hilarious. (Also, "Rock on!"...? Genius!)

Third Poster - Get it? It's like cum.
