Keeping up with the Indy media blitz, they've released a second trailer on the film's official site. I actually saw this trailer right before Iron Man last night, as I'm sure many did. Judging from my crowds excited reaction towards it (there was actual clapping!), I'm glad to see that Indiana Jones is still a character that the general moviegoing public gets excited for.
The new trailer shows us much more of Shiah Lebouf in action-mode, as well as more Indy ass-kicking. While everything in the trailer looks great, I'm actually somewhat surprised how sloppily put together the trailer itself seems. Like the first trailer and teasers, it's basically jusy a bunch of random scenes thrown together. While this succeeds in keeping the audience in the dark and not revealing too much of the film's plot, it's sort of jarring to see a major trailer cut this way nowadays.
I suppose it succeeds at harkening back to trailers of the 80s, which are far removed from the spoilerific trailers we've grown used to today. But enough nit-picking. It's Indiana Jones, and even a messy trailer for the series beats the pants off of your typical Hollywood schlock.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters on May 22, 2008.
