"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" Gets a Trailer

While the second Star Wars trilogy was never well received by fans, it did inadvertantly bring about one of the best interpretations of the Star Wars 'verse in Genndy Tartakovsky's (Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack) animated Clone Wars series. They were shown as short segments on Cartoon Network, and both seasons are now available on DVD.

Needless to say, they were insanely successful, and now we have a trailer of a theatrical CG Clone Wars series, which will eventually be made into a TV series proper. While I'm sad Tartakovsky won't be directing the series, at least we're getting another alum from that TV series, Dave Filoni.

I realize the learned first reaction among fans regarding new Star Wars projects tends to be overly skeptical, but in this case I implore you to keep an open mind. There's a very good chance this will be great. You can view it in HD over at Yahoo Movies.
