Just Say 'No' to the "Yes Man" Trailer

Based on this trailer for Yes Man, it looks like Jim Carrey will be continuing his streak of underwhelming and formulaic comedies. The slight glimmer of hope that I had when I recognized Flight of the Conchords' Murray (Rhys Darby) was immediately vanquished by the realization that this film might as well be seen as a (less funny) sequel to Liar, Liar. Instead of Carrey being forced to tell the truth, he decides to say yes to everything. What an incredible story progression. Simly splash some elements of The Bucket List in there, and you've got yourself a wholly forgettable Hollywood fluff flick. It practically screams "matinee viewing".
